My journey as a creative began in 2016 when I decided to act on fire that filmmaking had lit inside of me. Initially my thoughts were “this is easy, it can’t be that hard, why do people complicate this” etc. Because of my foolish thoughts I decided to try to make a short digital essay everyday. This challenge humbled me and ended after a couple of weeks of poorly created videos. In the moment I looked at that two weeks as a fail and a waste of time but this experience taught me some of the most valuable lessons of my career. It taught me intentionality when it comes to anything creative, it also taught me about radical transparency and the ability to be able to accept feedback from myself and others. I became ultra focused on my journey as a creative person because it was one that was going to last a long time hence the high levels of intentionality that were now my virtue. It became the most important thing in the world to me that every time I show up to create it’s the best thing I’m capable of creating in that moment. Due to my new intentions that I had set I made myself as vulnerable as I possibly could to feedback from others and myself. This brought down many barriers for me and allowed me develop my craft rapidly. After that I decided that filmmaking is a lot more complicated and calculated than I was ready to take on so, I decided to slow it down to one frame at a time.
